box for old school kicker, need advice.

Hey all, I have been recruited to build a box for my friends xb, he has an old school 12in kicker comp (I'm thinking c124). He says that he wants a SQ based box with a "punchy" sound. As I am fairly new to this with only one box under my belt, I'm in need of some advise. I'm not sure of any final dimensions but I am confident I can fit a net volume of 2cuft. If I run it at 32hz, according to winISD, the gain has a decent peak(3+Db's) around 60hz. I'd prefer a flatter curve myself but will this give him that punch he is looking for while still giving decent lows?
