I have a free-air pioneer 12" sub and want to put it in a sealed box.

Does the shape of a sealed box make a difference in the sound? My friend seems to think so but it has never even crossed my mind as i thought that it doesnt really matter what shape the box has as long as there is the right amount of air inside. pls help.

Also i would like to know approximately what size the box should be for the pioneer free-air 12" sub ts-w304f.

Thanx

well you are correct..shape does not matter as long as it has the correct amount of space...and my advise would be to contact pioneer and find out the recomended amount of air space.....have fun....good luck......

Thanks alot for the advice.

I never really post on forums but i find it really great that people are so helpful to others.

Thanks again for the help

Cheers

I am a boxbuilder. I make custom enclosures that are specifically made for your car, sub, and the SQ you are looking for. I would be able to make you one for $110. that includes shipping cost and carpeting. If interested you can e-mail me. Thanks for your time.
