Box for musclehead 56k stay away....

What do you mean ummmmm lol. Unless you're building a labyrinth style port, it won't give you sound improvement to the ear, unless you've got next to no port area, in which case a .5" roundover isn't going to help. I'm not hating lol, I do it myself, but it's not like someone's going to know the difference unless you tell them.
And most importantly, when people see that you have done it and know that it isn't necessary, they know you give attention to the finer details. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
It was the ummmmm to the waxing the car every two days lol. my bad. haha.

ok, just curious, as I dont see too many boxes with rounded ports, but I figured if there was a big difference in sound a lot of people would be doing it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Not saying I gauge my builds by what the current trend is but its just an observation
i believe the only difference it would make is that it will lower the chances of port noise.

since adding a 90* bend to a square port adds turbulence, then rounding the inside edge of the port and adding the 45* to the outside corner will decrease some of the port noise created by the bend by making the air flow easier.

yea I think it looks nice too, just wasnt sure if there was a reason to do it/not do it, i guess it doesnt matter, maybe Ill try it on my next box

Yea, thanks, I wasnt sure how to word it but thats what I was thinking, just not sure what to call it, if the air flows better over a surface there is less resistance, less resistance means (in theory) better flowing air, much like the dynamics of the exterior of a car, the more aerodynamic the car is the better it will move through the air, thats why I thought these guys were doing it, now Ill definitely try it

I guarantee you that you won't be amazed by any difference it makes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you really want to see a difference, then you should go with a flared port...but then you start getting horn characteristics and then it just goes to hell in a bucket of chicken.
