Humans can only here down to 20 Hz so you dont need to go any lower really...

It's going to be really peaky since it's a higher Qts sub that you'd be tuning a good deal over it's Fs. Either go sealed or do a smaller box tuned low, like 3ft^3 at 28hz, to avoid the peakiness that comes with porting a higher Q value sub. But if you just want it to get loud, then the box you described will certainly do that...it just won't necessarily be the smoothest response curve out there.
