is the box's that JL audio recommends the best?

box size can change with any sub to change performance. the jl recommended enclosure will work fine though.

it'll hit the lows very nicely and sound great. it's a loud sq sub, but it's not spl.

what size are you getting? I have a pro wedge box for a 13 collecting dust. Carpet isn't in the best shape. If u want it you can have it for shipping cost.

but im thinking if my trunk is gonna end up the way i want it to the box is gonna be sealed anyway

yeah i know its not very good at spl

but JL does make the H.O box for spl, with the coupling chamber, that looks like a beauty!
