Box for 6X9 speakers ?

nah, usually people put them in sealed boxs that are around 1 cuft

You can look and see if specs were given, but most shops sell prefab 6x9 boxes. I wouldn't waste effort on making those.

I don't too much about the rear speakers anymore. I have Bostons in the rear QP, but I'm not even gonna hook them up with my next install.

What vehicle and how are you gonna mount them? Boxes/speakers that is.

I'm guessing you're gonna mount the speakers on the back deck? Boxes would be a good idea, no matter which speakers you put back there.

then i guess they'll be 1/2 mdf(or less) or plywood, and only that wide!

i haven't used plywood on a sealed enclosure yet.

I have some pretty thin MDF I used to make a semi-circular window covering out of. It doesn't cost much and is easy to work with. HD and lowes sell it in 2x2 sheets too.

i dont see the point of boxes for reg speakers.... correct me if im wrong but a sealed environment as opposed to free air does nothing it the way of better sq/loudness right the only way i would use boxes is if i wanted to have a diff size speaker then my car could fit in its mounts...
