Box for 6 12 inch RF HX2's in 2000 Explorer Sport

Start of build for 6 12inch RF hx2 subs 13.3 cubes tuned at 34hz will run them with a Popcorn Sounds 4k. Optima yellow top under hood and 2 75ah C&D in the back with a 240 amp American Armature alternator. 2 runs each 0 gauge Audio Technix wire and 0 gauge big 3 upgrade.

Using 3/8th threaded rod for bracing

Will be 13.3 cubes after port and speaker displacement

using 6 braces altogether the threaded rod is so much easier than wooden bracing and takes up way less air space.

Ports and speaker openings cut out today

Using 4 4 inch diameter PSP dimpled aeroports 6 inches long tunes 13.4 cu ft to 35.5 hz

That's sick and 6 of those subs man I'd love to hear that I used to have a couple of them that were blown I wanted to get made custom hefty as hell I ended up selling them though.

Box looks sick too.

Great choice of subs, but why the 4" ports? I'd expect a port noise and compression. I'd go with three 6" aeros instead if I were you...

4 of them @ 6 inches tunes me @ 35.5 hz and I have 0 port noise super clean sounding . Now need to get my cam back from friend who borrowed it so I can take some more pics and show box installed and wired up then rip it out and paint or cover the box for perm install. Have a test video

Other reason I didnt go with 6 inch is I already had the 4 inch from previous and you can't get the 6in in dimpled

Just put a pair of JBL GTO 5.25 Mid-Bass in what was the lid of my center console.
