I tweak the dimensions of the box to give me the net airspace I know I'll end up with rather than just plugging in the true dimensions. For example, REs box calculator with a set of dimensions will give me 2.3 cubes. But that's not really my end volume after displacement. So I shrink the box an inch at a time in different directions to find my port length at 2 cubic feet. It's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. BTW your right, if you do othing but plug (huehuehue) your numbers into the calculator you'll never get proper volume or tuning. To calculate the port, you actually need to know the space you have AFTER accounting port displacement not before. So that renders most online calculators completely useless and the calculations to get to that point will be a never ending paradox. Gotta use a calculator that does that for you. Your box is currently a lot smaller than projected NET airspace wise and tuned a lot higher. Sub displacement is more around .15 cubes per sub as well.
with 21.75 as outer height and 19.5 as inner height that counts as a triple baffle not a double. You only need one extra one with only 4 12s. These arent 85lb 12s we are dealing with so triple baffle is not necessary at all.
Unfortunately I do need to see out my back window. I'm a very aggressive driver as well as most of the drivers around me because of the area I live in. I don't want to get in an accident because I couldn't see out of my back side windows. And side mirrors don't work very well when they are vibrating like crazy hahaha //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifI just noticed this is a back seat box... I've never liked the was systems sounded with a box in the back seat. I'd wall it off. You can have a walled off car daily. You don't need to see out your back window, that's why you have side mirrors
Hey man thanks, sorry just saw this. Only reason why I went with soundqubed was because it was all on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I got everything 10-25% off. The 4500 was only $600 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and not to many people had bad reviews about them for the price of the equipment so I figured I'd give them a try haha.Hey man, you must like soundqubed or something? Lmao, looking good man
