ok, getting two tens. looking for a box around 32 inches wide, other deminsions arent too specific. car is a scion tc. susb are custom built by ssacket. what demensions are good?

without the other dimensions, it will be hard to even make somethin, unless you ask a TC owner(which there is a few here) to get get other dimensions.

well i heard the trunk is 34 inches wide, so i put 32 to be safe, and since its two tens the box wont be big. maybe a foot by a foot ish since the box will only be like 3 cu ft or somethihng. ported of cource.

or am i getting something wrong?

Tell us any specs you can on the subs, like parameters or atleast what motor and soft parts Ssacket is using for the subs... also, how do you plan on using them (daily, sq, spl)?

Rough estimate, since I don't know your trunk height or sub displacement...

External dimensions: 16" height x 32" width x 18" depth, using 3/4 mdf

Port: 3" slot port vertically on the back side of the box, to either side of the subs. Port will be 30" long, so it will be L shaped, and finish in the back center of the box. This will give a tuning freq of 35 Hz.

Give more info, and I might be able to help more.

This is either going to be in a hatch or trunk car. Would it be subs up port back or both back? Or would the difference between hatch and trunk change that?

You said it's a tC, right? It's a hatch. See pic...

sub and port back in trunk car. Sub up port back in hatch (or sub and port up)

Best in a trunk car is to fire into cabin and seal the trunk off...IMO

If it's for looks and loudness, go subs up ports back. CRX style.

If it's for deep bass, and you don't want it stolen, go subs and port back.

Does the customer need to keep any trunk space? What are their listening preferences?

Well it's prob going to be a tc. Not hundred percent tho. Temporarily I was going to put the box in my expedition just for something temporary no matter how it sounds. New car will prob be tc but not for sure. And for that subs up port back? I need somewhere to put the two cd batts (100 lb each) so I was going to put em ontop of the box (I'd support the weight)

ok its two tens by sackkett. ill have specs when he pms me back. any rough estimates on cubic feet? just a general guess so i can see how big a space to plan for
