box for 2 12L7's

i was wondering what kinda box and tuning (Hz) should i use to make the things hit a 155+db? I'm using a 3000watts+

So you are using 3000 watts huh... What amp?

You should follow the manufacturers recommended box specs and tuning.

yes i've got 2 of them. one on each sub. I compete in MECA and i've never messed with kicker sub's before only audiobahn. and i finally found out why everyone says audiobahn are junk.

If polecat ever comes around again he can help you out the most. Guys a kicker buff.

IMO I would try 2-2.5 per driver tuned for comps @ 47hz or near. With a port plug for daily purposes.

i'm going to get a bigger amp alt and 2 yellow top batts. i've got until March to do all my testing and building. i know it seems to be a little early but i like to take my time and make it right and LOUD.

I'll be running the same setup two BX1500D's with two 12" L7's. 2.5q^ft, i'll be tuning it to 45hz each space. Alt and yellow top upgrade. I am using WinISD and bassbox 6pro. bassbox is a sick app. In Bassbox I came up with 120db for spl and 129 in WiniSD. This a software sim real numbers can be -/+ . Download winISD its free. http://www.linearteam.org

note the amps will not really push out 1500watts, real numbers your looking at 900-1100. I've never seen a BX1500D come close to 1500watts maybe if it gets 14.5V's. But for L7's 750rms is all you need.

2 12" Solobarics.......and you have till march. Well since you sound like you really want to take your time to do a nice job....why dont you wait another month and get something a little nicer to compete with. I dont think you can pull off a 155 with 2 L7's.....MAAAYBE on A Burp but..... If you are going to go with it. Id say go 3.5 cubed each....tune to 42 Hz. I just had 2 of them in 3 cubes tuned to 40 Hz with 1600 to each sub (actually about 900 daily) and it got **** loud...My ports werent that big though so I dunno how much SPL it would add if I made the port bigger.

for spl competition i would say 45 and nothing less. As mentioned before you can get a port plug for daily driving.

3g's +2 L7 12's= blowup

i wouldnt do it .....but

take half the power and make a 6th order bandpass and tune both ports to 70hz and u should hit a decent number depending on how your box is..my suggestion is a starting point
