Box for 12" SX

I want about 2.5 cu ft slot ported box.Heres the deminsions from REs website

Width is 36"

Depth is 15"

Height is 13.5"

Slot port width is 3"

Slot port length is 11.5"

Slot height is 12"

The thing that connects to the port( tuning thing i guess? goes out behing sub) is

24 "

Sub cutout is 11 1/8 "

Does this seem right, would it be loud

naw, me and my dad are going to build it. what im asking is will it be a good size ( should be since i got it from REs website) But i just wanted some ither opinions. iT will be in a blazer i want a good mix of spl/sq will this work. and also MoeLester how wide is your box? Just wondering for a visual

Make sure it will fit in ur blazer. Im sure it will b/c blazers are pretty big. But just Double check.

ya it will be fine for that sub, should get pretty loud and sound good

my box is 41 wide, 15.5 tall

thanks , so it should have good sq too.i want it to be loud. will that 1 in a blazer be loud enough for me going up from audiobahns (natural sound sucky)i want it to pound

1 4x8 sheet is enough, bottle of wood glue, 1 5/8" coarse thread drywall screws, and you are good to go.

make sure you plan your cuts before you go at it with a saw. Also, if you find that you have quite a few pieces with on dimension in common, just have them rip it at lowes or where ever you buy the wood.

As far as planning though, just draw a rectangle with dimensions in inches on it of a 4 x 8 sheet and just make sure you utilize your wood.
