Carpet with thick foam on the back and carpet the floor thats left of the bed so it can serve as a bench and looks nice

put some feet on the bottom anything to get some lift to protect the bottom from moisture

Fill all the screw heads, round the edges, put feet under it as Cherryman said, and then bed liner paint or rug it. I like to paint mine even if it's getting rugged. Helps protect it from moisture ....

I just sprayed it with bedliner and then plastidip ontop of that
