I'm planning out a system, and need to figure out what kind of box I'm going to use. I plan on running either AQ sdc2.5 10"/12" or DD 1510/12 or DD 2510/12 as of now. Possibly T3 Audio. That's definitely subject to change. I have more than 2400w on tap (eD 9.1s strapped). I'm simply looking for a daily groundpounder that emphasizes the lows, but still can play decently say up to 50-55hz or so. Not looking for numbers because I don't compete. I'm really attracted to the thought of using a 4th order, but looking for input from people with greater knowledge than me (not saying I have a ton). I want to do something different than the average ported box.

If you're looking to get low, consider something with LMS, XBL^2, or split coil motor, they excell in the

There's a good reason most people don't use bandpass boxes and that's because the size is often impractical and the passband is often too narrow to sound really good. Some people use 6th order for burps with good results but you'll have to do the math long-hand to calculate your dimensions. The more complex boxes are also more difficult to build and less forgiving of miscalculations.

If you have patience, math skills and don't mind throwing a lot of wood at the job, try some complex boxes and post buildlogs.

I'm definitely not going to be designing the box if it is a bandpass or anything other than a ported box. But I will definitely post build-logs.

if your looking for lows with a 4th order go with a tuning somewhere in the low 40s. i jsut redesigned mine to work for a single 15 since one of mine had the spider come undone and killed the coil. when i did i retuned it to 40 and it kills the lows now. just doesnt have much in the upper level 55+

folded tline, sealed?
