Doing hair tricks is not an optimum spl set up.

A box strictly for spl is higher frequency and less cone movement for two reasons,

1) the higher frequency

2) playing bass notes at your box tuning, results in the least amount of cone movement but highest output

What is it that you want to do, compete in shows or just pull up to dudes at a red light and shake their mirrors?

I wanted to try and have a good daily driver but when I pull in the lane out numbers up that's what I'm going for

What type of vehicle and gear do you have

I have a 2004 silverado extended cab and I'm not sure it I'm going to get the dd 2500 15 or 18 but just one and a lot of box space

And I'm going to run it with a focal 1500watt rms

I've done a couple DD 18" boxes and used 6 cubes after all displacement and At least 100 sq" of port, when you have everything and are ready I'm sure Buck or someone will get you a design.
