box confusion

hey wuts up

need some help picking out a box

a bouth a Alpine type X and running off an eclipse 1000wattz (500x2 850 bridged)

what would be better for this settup a sealed or ported and wut are the diffrenced in sound between the two

i was thinking ported be better because i see alpine more of an spl speaker, me persoannly im a quality guy i dun want it to iust be LOUD

i read up about the two but everyone gets a lil to technical, ENGLISh Please

i'd pop it in a ported enclosure tuned to 32Hz. what size sub is it?

If you want clean sound go with sealed. Me personally I would go with what was stated above, maybe 2.5 cubes @32hz ported, depending on sub size.

i have super clean bass and its ported. with a lot of power and a good box design you will have some great sounding bass.

What amp you have? Sure its stable @ 2 ohms bridged?

its a 12 incher. would u suggest i follow the specs in the manual ?? im not really understanding on the whole tuning part on the ports n all

i figured sealed would be cleaner, ive heard it in the alpine (slotted) box its really hard to tell how it sounds cuz of all the rattle

eclipse DA 6213 im not sure i dun have the specs on it its not on the site no more. hard to find info on the amp n i got no manual

I would go ported, just make sure its a quality box, not prefab.

yea ill prob check a ported box tomorrow, hope i dun buy somethign crap thooo lol thats wut im worried about
