I have been researching good price point amps and found this Planet Audio. Seems you are getting decent amp/ specs for the money? Does anyone have experience with these amps? Looking specifically at Big Bang 1250.1 and the Big Bang 75x4 amps??

they are solid middle of the road amps. Owned a ton of their 2002 models and make rated power.

I love my PA400.2 amp. No idea on the newer models tho.

I had a PA2200d. Did it's rated power and had no problems with it. Good price for a amp that actually puts out there rated power.

I'm seeing over heating issues on the BB 1250.1. We are running a single kicker 12 L7 at 2 ohms with the gains down a little during the "new" period. The amp is untouchable. Has not shut down... But getting VERY hot at moderate playing levels. Any suggestions?

you have something wrong then... bad ground.. what car, what size wire and fuse? where is the amp, and where is your ground?

I run those amps at 1/2 ohm and they just hang

I owned a planet audio p1250d. i loved it... it was clean, simple, and powered my HC 12 beautifully at 1 ohm. I would not hesitate buying another.

yeah my 1250d (same internals as BB 1250) never got hot. It was much cooler than the ambient temp of my car after 30 minute slam sessions (or longer) even at 2/3ohm
