will that termianl leak? I built one and had to end up adding super glue all around the terminal post to make it airtight.

No it will not leak. I put clear silicone on the inner diameter of the terminal cup anyway so It will not be an issue. Most good terminal cups have rubber surround so when you screw it in, it really clamps down pretty well.
