Box building material question

Every hardware store around my area dosen't carry 3/4 MDF. One down the road carries 3/4 MDF "ultralight" or some $hit? I was wondering if I could just use 3/4 inch plywood or would it be worth it to me to drive 70 miles to get some 3/4 mdf or should I just use the "ultralight" MDF whatever the hell that is...

you can use 3/4" plywood but you would have to brace the hell out of it since it will flex much easier than mdf. you could try a hardwood plywood which will help but it might cost too much. i'm not sure about the ultralight mdf.

im probaly just gona drive to get what I need. Better to do something right the first time then have a crappy product or have to do it over.

since you plan to get the right stuff. you should try looking for 1" mdf.

No, contradiction = goes against, opposite, somethin along the lines of that. Its a contradiction because MDF is actually pretty heavy.
