box building help (measuring)

Well im building a 2 cube box tuned to 33ish hz

The box it self is

24" wide

14" height

14" depth

wood is .625"

slot port is

1.5" wide

12.75" tall

20" long

I got the box right around 2.15 cubes and I figure after displacement it will roughly 2 cubes.

Now when I add the port,I DO NOT add the port into the 2 cubes right?

in other words, the box it self is 2 cubes and the port is extra.....so the entire box with port would be like 3 cubes????

am i doing this right?

your port isn't right...it should be a 1:10 ratio (at the most, i use 1:8)...so if its 1 inch wide ,it'll need to be 8 inches tall

edit-it should be ok i guess...i just pulled up the calculator...

I get 26 1/8" with port on the width of the box

origianlly it was 24"

24 + 1.5 (port) + .625 (wood) = 26 1/8" total width

height of the port is restricted by the height of the box
