Box Builders I need help please...(measurements)

I have decided to build a custom sealed enclosure for my L7 sub. It will be a 2.25 cu. ft. enclosure. I have the external dimentions:

20.125" (w) x 17.3125" (d) x 15.5" (h)

I know that to get exact board measurements I need to subtract .75 or 1.5 inches on at least two of the boards but I just cannot figure out which ones...

Subtract 1.5 from each dimension... And you can round the numbers, it will make cutting easier.

But with those dimensions you would have 2.386 cubes before driver displacement.

Now does that mean that once the sub is installed it will be less than 2.25 Sq ft?

What is the displacement of an L7?

i believe that the with the sub installed volume is about 2.3

20*17.125*15.5 would give you 2.25 after displacement

I see that you have the alpine ipod adapter is there anyway after plugging the ipod in that you can control the ipod?
