Box Build! With Pics!

ok... with fiberglass baffle and all, with no port, its 10.75 cubic feet. after speaker displacment, brace displacement, and port displacement(which in my case is 1.65 cubic feet), its right at 9 cubic feet, at least bb6 tells me so

It's 12.6 without the port, so perhaps it is with the port. It doesn't look near that though, as if that is 26 deep, then there's 5.5" on either side of the subs and I'm not seeing it.
and its only 12.6 if you dont factor in that the MDF is .75 thick //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ftw

succes! and that port has to take up more than 1 ft3, cuz after you subtract 1.5 from each side i got ~10

come on man.. u got over 3000 posts, recheck the math. the internal deminsions would be 19.5 x 38.5 x 24.5, which is 10.64 cubic feet

and i actually said the port displacement was 1.65 cubic feet. FTW

~10=10.6 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

haha, c'mon, just let him build the box....

there's too many guys running around with 15" l7's in 2.0cf prefabs, and myself with my 9.0cf box with 39 square of port area.....

i don't think it's gonna matter much if it's a bit shy of 9....... it's gonna be a lot better than me and the prefabbers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thanks man! im just trying to do the best i can, im not a professional like some of these guys, i just love car audio and music, and love it LOUD. and ur 9.0 has 39 sq of port area? that seems small, but an online calculator told me i had to have at least 110 sq on my port, and when building, i forgot that little bit of information :-\, so i wound up with like 95 sq, i jsut hope it doesnt make a big difference

so does anyone know how much the port area will have an affect on it?

your port should be perfect, actually

kicker recommends 50 square inches per 15" L7

My new box will be 2.5" x 40" port, and yes, 39" is way way way too small, they're not much louder than my 2 12's at this point //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

In order to answer your question, I would need to know what model (e.g. SW4200, SW7524DVC). Also, are you looking to make a ported box or sealed?
