MDF is about Twice as heavy as HDF put it this way the box that you in my my video on realm of excursion for my 2 MT 18's its right at 15cubes without the subs in it the box weighs around 40lbs

does HDF sound better than MDF, or is it just the weight issue. Just curious how much more is it, money wise, compared to mdf?

well we buy 1 pallet at a time cost us $26 a sheet doesnt seem to effect the sound but it seems somewhat stronger the MDF

Looks good with good cuts....i would leave the crunch wrap supreme in the box for sound dampining...lol.. nice work.. somthing different on the port paint me likes

MDF = medium density fiberboard

HDF = high density fiberboard

or am I wrong?

ok lets just put it this way we did a lil test at the shop took a piece of HDF and MDF 8" wide by 20" long put it on 2 bricks kinda made a bridge then droped 16lb bricks on it at various heights " we sometimes get very bored at the shop" the mdf held to about 5feet and the HDF held to about 9feet
