Pieces cut I had to use MDF on this build rather then HDF because of time restraits ( Man MDF sucks, to **** heavy)

These are some supplies i picked up lets see, there is some Flex stone with primer and sealer a clamp some drywall screws some titebond 3 and some 1/2 all-thread and nuts

Looks like one side and the back is on, with a crunch wrap supreme sittin in the middle

all together with top face plate 1.5" thick

Port 5" wide 26" long tuned at 32hz

Nice build.

I would have made the 45 degree angle pieces smaller though, as that tins out the port a little bit. shouldnt have too much of an effect though, if anything, it will lower the tuning by a little.

why the labrynith as opposed to the traditional L? (just out of curiosity) I dont use labryniths unless i HAVE too..

looks like its going to be loud, and seeing as how i havent heard MT 18's yet, ill be making my way down to you to check that out.

well i used labrynith style cause i found its produces a cleaner sound... IMO seems to be you get standing waves in the encloser with L ports and here is a update... my 2 MT's got it on in the bed and we had twins

This box was designed to hold the 2 XXX... i just said the MT to play tricks

love the box, i have a few questions i was wondering about.....

do you figure the length by an "imaginary" midline down the center of the port?

Well i use AutoCAD to design my boxes so i can acutaly draw a line down the center of the port, yes thats how you determine your port length,,,, u use the 45's that large because from the angled face of the 45 to the port bord is 5" which is my port width if i didnt add the 45's from the corner of the box to the port port is like 7" .... but its all in how detailed you look at it i think putting 45's in to make the port the same width through the length of the port is good and it adds for good airflow

alright, let me try to get this straight. From the 45 degree angle face to the wood it is 5". Then the width from the front view of the box would be 7". So what would you use to calculate the actual port length 5" or 7"???? I hope i am getting this, lol . Here is the pic that you posted earlier, to show you what i think you were talking about...is that right?

the enclosure looks good. if you realy wanted to get the best airflow out of that port, you should of gone with the L shaped port. every time air has to do a 180* turn it slows down and the result is lower port tuning and not as linear. the best port is always a strait port, so is best to go with the lest amount of bends.

but looks good. let us know how it sounds.
