Box build for Yellow20thAEGti

nice box how do you do the cut outs for the logos?
It's just that really thin foam like stuff that you use for crafts and such. You can cut it out with a razor and then glue it to the box, just take your time with the adhesive and carpet and it will stretch, conform, and adhere to the logo or cutout you make.

You can do that as well but I use 1/4" MDF and a scroll saw.

Does that carpeting material actually stretch that much? I didn't think it would stretch around such an intricate design with sharp corners that was 1/4" thick. What kind of adhesive did you use? Obviously the most common is that Super 77 stuff. I heard contact cement was better but it's a bit more of a hassle to use. What do you prefer?

do you not build boxes? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

yes the carpet can stretch that much. it mostly depends on the type of carpet you use. un-backed stretches nicely which is what many use.

I just did a simple wrap, my box is rectangular with sharp edges. I didn't know that stuff would stretch that far and still stay stuck to the creases without popping back up in the future.
