Box Build for CamaroAudio69

Clamps...it's my first time using just clamps on a box...
I would recommend a few more clamps. On the pic where you are gluing down the front panel to the bottom, you only used two clamps, and on the very ends. I would guess you dont have as tight a joint towards the middle as you could. Just my .02.

Good point, I'll invest in some more clamps before my next build. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

just glue alone is enough to hold a box together?
When properly clamped, yes. I should have used a few more clamps..but...I didn't have any. If he has any issues with this box (which I know he won't //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif), I'll build him a new one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Agreed. I normally use the 90* angles as a psuedo-clamp for the ends, then use my 2 clamps in the middle. I clamp down the ends, then tighten the 90* angle thing, then re-locate the clamps.

^ listen to the man!!!
I hate people who think BJFish is the God-of-God of Box building and he shits Trupan and shit.

Get off his nuts, you aren't gunna get a prize or a free box.

Definitely if you can, or you can use screws. I actually think fish only uses screws. I would only use screws, but I never found it worth it since I already have clamps.

Yes, it is. It creates a chemical bond. In a stress test, the wood splinters and a chunk falls off before the glue bond breaks. The only down side is that you need an equal distribution of downward force at all times, which is why BJ said he should use more clamps. If you use screws, it's nearly the same effect.
