Box Build for (2) 10" L7's (2.9 @ 38 each) for ARMY-KILLA!

cut my front baffle so there is 4.75" of empty space left, then make it 28.5" long?
What? You need to completely build a new box. I dont know what you have done and what you havent. I dont mean to sound rude, but if Im telling you exactly what to do, why dont I just build it and get the money. I said I would make you a plan not tell you how to build it with your current pieces.

this is what i have to work with

INTERNAL DIMENSIONS

WIDTH- 38 3/4"

DEPTH- 15"

HEIGHT- 12"heres what it looks like in my garage

heres exactly what i put in the calculator

PORT TYPE- SQUARE

QUANTITY OF PORTS-1

ENCLOSURE VOLUME-4.202

DESIRED TUNING FREQ-36hz

SQUARE VENT:

HEIGHT-12"

WIDTH-4"

VENT LENGTH=18.04"

ok this is what i came up with VERY quickly:

3.12 cu ft @ 35 Hz, 50 sq in of port area

i'm not 100% sure on all those cut measurements, but the port is 4" wide and then bends both ways and is 2" on each side. the total port length should be 30" to get a tuning of 35Hz.

you should just to a side port like all of moe's plans. it's just so much quicker to run the numbers and bass isn't about symmetry //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
dont build it without a divider... bad bad bad

i come out with a little bit less volume and a little bit higher tuning, but my calculations could be a little off.

it's definitely bigger than 3.0 cu ft (after all displacements i got 3.1 cu ft) and definitely tuned lower than 40Hz (i got ~38Hz with winisd).

it should sound a lot better than the old box, late night tip will be way deeper. i can't wait to hear it tomorrow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I just ran Kicker's recommended numbers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/scared.gif.f134e57c6c93ccd0f15aa5ac32c7d4a0.gif

Minimum Volume:

1.25 cu ft, 2.5" x 11.25" x 19.75" port tuning is > 49Hz!!!!

SPL/Deep Bass:

2.25 cu ft, 3" x 11.25" x 18" port tuning >38Hz

and those numbers where from that online port calculator, WinISD gives even higher tuning numbers!

I guess your other box was to Kicker's specs! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm sure you new box will be much better.
