Box Build 5ft^3 for DD3515

hoping the 3515 will be able to clear the ports that will be coming down out of those holes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Didnt really get a chance to measure it yet

Any reason the port piece and other non-side piece don't extend and match the angle? Don't see how that's going to seal????
Why wouldnt it seal? the piece of wood that holds the sub will be double baffled and wil be cut at an angle to match the top and bottom..

We actually got alot of work done today.. only need a another 30min and it will be done but i had to end early.

also cleaned up all the rough edges(looks more even now) around the port, and got rid of all the screws.

more pics 2morrow night hopefully.

Dont think its done yet!

I was being pushed by time again and it being like 8:00 on a sunday night i didnt wanna be making to much noise... besides i was out there for longer then expected again.

I pretty much just threw it together and dropped the sub in so i can look for air leaks and see how it sounds off 100 watts.

It was very good actually, only 1 air leak on the top speaker baffler which was a given. But it sounds very nice.

I am going to use a 1/2" round-over on all the edges and sand the ***** down along with removing whatever screws are left over. It still looks like shit but im expecting way better soon.

Tomorrow ill be putting it in my friends truck to test it off 2k watts and if your lucky ill post a vid.

x^2 on the resin. I always resin them on the inside just for that extra sureness of a good seal. And again x^2 on the outside since you are using particle board.

Box looks good though. Make sure you get us pictures of it installed and let us know how it sounds!

Its plywood //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif cost me us $31.00 a sheet too =/

Seems a alot lighter then MDF though and and looks lot better, little stronger to.

I might hit it up with some resin on the inside to get all those tiny little holes. I gotta fill about 30 screw holes on the outside still. Camera is at home right now so ill add more pics later.

Used a 3/4" roundover on the top port today to make a wider opening instead of the 1/2" i had earlier.

I think it would look sexy with some darker wood stain/sealer or something, what do you guys think?

oh yeah, and its loud too...
