Power finally came back on.

Got the silicone done and put the top on.

Does anyone silicone the outside or is that pointless?

no but you can put body filler where their is imprefections. you should glass the box

Body filler is a putty (genericized name is Bondo, just as the genericized name for a tissue is a Kleenex) that is used to fill in holes and imperfections in automobile panels and fiberglass work. I use it to fill in gaps on seams so that when you paint, there are no edges showing.

I dont think there is anywhere on the box I really need that.

I plan on carpeting the outside and I guess painting in the port

Yep, flat black spray paint works fine.

Ok well my Dad helped me get the hole cut out today

Here is what it looks like.

Getting ready to carpet it. Might try it tonight but I am a little nervous

The outside is a little sloppy but you wont be able to see that anyway so I didnt take the effort to try and keep it neat there is no point

Not so true. Carpeting is merely a pretty facade. Having good looking woodwork underneath actually makes it exponentially easier to carpet. Trust me, I'm an expert on shitty looking enclosures.

I mean it all lines up good and shit I just got some glue and paint on the outside.

I know its not perfect but it should look decent

Game over I fail

Finally finished the box and I could not get it into my trunk. I was sure it would fit too. I measured so many times but it wont push all the way back because the floor is stopping it from lowering.

I really dont think I am up to building another one after this. I dont know what I am going to do

I was all excited I thought today was the day I got to hear my SSD, Now its probably going to be at least another month maybe never
