box broke/breaking

Got a guy on here to build me a box a few months ago. Its just a simple box about 4 cubs with a vented port. The guy didn't reinforce the front side where the subs go and ir kinda fell through. I took the carpet off and I've barely got to look at it but I think its just hanging on my a little glue and a few screws. Will just re gluing it with wood glue and popping some screws in there fix it? Suggestions? Thanks

I would prooly just build another if you got the dimensions you prolly would be able to copy it your self and this time reinforce it But gluing and srewing does leave chance of it happening again or leaks

I can get pics later. This isn't going to be a permanent fix. I don't have enough $ right now to pay for supplys or get someone to build me another.

screw a 2x4 on the back fo the face from front to back right between where the subs go, should help fix it

You said you got a guy on here to build you a box yet your asking us for help?? I'd be pretty pissed if someone built me a non-reinforced enclosure that I spent my hard earned money on. Why not email/message him with some questions.

I got it fixed for the time being. Screwed some peices of 2x4 in the corners of it. I hope it holds up, i tested it for like 5 min. seems better. Def. never getting him to make me a box again...idk why he woulnt even reinforce it.

What do you mean reinforce though, if it was glued and screwed, what reinforcement is necessary?

Also strange it would break if it was built the right way. Not all boxes need reinforecment, unless it is a really beefy setup.

Im not going to mention the box builders name, but def. wasn't built right (reinforcement). I may run a few more screws and 2x4s in it later, i've noticed some more damage
