Box Airspace??

ok so ive been measuring and the biggest box i can get in my car is a 11 cubes BEFORE Driver, wood, port and all that good stuff....my qestion is how many cubes will this be if i put a DD 9515 tuned to 40hz???? thanks again for taking the time to answer.

wow this is probably one of the most vague questions ive seen.

you can get 4 cubes tuned to 38hz with 60^2 in of port with 2 1.5" 15" long dowel braces in 5.06^3ft gross volume (IE the sub will see 4 cubes for it self, and the box will take up 5^3ft of volume, from external top to bottom, side to side, and front to back)

if you're wondering if you can fit a single 15" DD9515 in that 11^3ft of gross space...then yes, you can.

yea but like i was wondering if there was any way i could make it a bit smaller and still have 4-4.5 after displacment.... the size is gonna be 37 wide 38 depth and 17 tall

sorry i meant 6.3 cubes.

doubt it though. the smaller you go for your net volume, the longer the port is going to be. the longer the port is going to be, the more gross space you're adding. you're going to be looking at a hefty box either way.
