Bought a home theater sub from best buy. Hate it. Can I return it for that reason???

Long story short. I bought a ht setup on a budget and I love everything except the sub.

Receiver-pioneer vsx-819h

Fronts- Polk tsi 300

center-Polk cs 10

rear surround-Polk t-15

sub-Polk psw 10

using monster speaker wire and sub line ( had to do it even tho I can't stand monsters price only paid 50 for both tho)

now the sub I wanted was the klipsch 12. It was $479. They didn't have it. So I said check for the klipsch 10 ($399) Didn't have it. So I got the Polk ($199). Andits terrible. Rattles, port noise like crazy. And most of all can't hit lows for shit!!! Either bottoms out, all you hear is port or you hear nothing cuz it just can't produce the sound.

So my question is. Is there a way to return it if I'm completly unsatisfied. Or should I tell them the truth about the sound, port noise etc. If u can only get instore credit that's fine. I'll get the klipsch 10 or 12 when I get some extra cash. If not I'm sure someone in here knows where I can get a great quality sub for around 400..??

if you bought it separate and not a package deal yes.. you don't have to even tell em why you want to return it.. just bring it the receipt and the box it came in

order a dayton kit from PE or just the driver and amp and build an enclosure.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Best Buy charges a 15% restocking fee on things like that.

I have the same sub it is nothing crazy but it dose the job for my room.You will probably like the klipsch more though. Yes you can return it.

try to return it and scoop up a plate amp/PA amp, and build your own sub. Your will be much more satisfied, and probably save money

if you are wanting loud bass like in a car its gonna cost some money.

Best buy doesn't really have a great home theater sub.

(unless you have abest buy with a magnolia in it)

Building your own is your best bet if you need something louder

I have use that exact polk sub and was happy with it

im currently running an Infinity ps12 sub and its quite nice

The klipsch sub is nice also
