Said it was idling around 14 when he shipped it out.

I was under the impression that a good alt idles at 14.4 and a perfect one idles at its set voltage point, which is 14.89.

I paid 295.00 for a good alt and he sent me one that was at 14v and then was toast by the time it got to me

No... But did you pay with paypal? I'd put his account on lock right now by making a claim. That's bullshit that he won't refund you.

I can see his point if he sent out what he knew was a good alt only to show up dead here.

He has agreed to pay for the repair so if all goes well then it was just bad luck for both of us.

Turns out the 250 amp mechman internal regulator was not compatible for my 03 explorer. It came out of JavisB's 04 explorer and we were both convinced all would be well with the switch.

So even know there was nothing wrong with it jarvisB insisted that he pay the 50.00 to make it right. Its been changed out and its on the way. They also added a external regulator.

JarvisB is a mutha fckin Boss!!!
