Big question on POWA and wiring!!!

I have:

-220 amp alt

-stock batt and C&D in the back connected by 1 run of 1/0

-about 3000 watts to run

I want to get rid of the batt in the back and replace the stock with this:

-XS power D3400 rated for 2500 watts as a stock battery for cars requiring group 34 batteries (mine requires only a group 51, its a honda civic)

Concern:

Will my 1 run of Tsunami comp 1/0 be enough to power about 3000wrms? Or what other upgrades would i need to do in order to make the single XS battery work up front

really?? why so much? and why the negative?
considering that your wire is rated for ~250 amp and your amp is going to draw ~300 amps, this is all just a rough guess as you didn't list what amps. the negative is just to ensure a good circuit. it's really not that much considering what your wattage is.

i was runing about 2500 before with the batt in the back and had no problems. :/ so at least 1 more of each?. you are shiting on my night lol

the alternator only produces 220 at max which works for the 1/0.
you alt may only produce 220 amps max which will be fine for 1/0 wire but not for your amp. you amp is going to draw from where ever it can, so if you alt is producing it it'll pull from your battery.

right. so more runs eh? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif 2 minimum?

my sig isnt accurate, (working)

but i ran three runs of 4/0 awg, one for positive and two for negative because you always want your ground to have less resistance than your power.

running the ground straight rto the neg, like he said , ensures a good circuit and thus a better response from your speakers

Got a question since I don't know this seems like a good place to ask. When running, for example 2 runs of power and 2 of ground, how would you connect both runs to the amp? If you got a pic it would be even better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I run 3k watts off 1 run of 1/0 and stock electical, I'm not happy lol. Should have my HO and batt by the end of the month, if you want I can let you know how she does off that.

Not really sure meself, I was thinking like reducers/distroblock.

it's equally important for there to be minimal resistance for grounds and positive. if you do 2 runs for a ground you should do the same for the power wire
