does the fuse size match how many amps the alt puts out? i know it sounds like a dumb question but if the fuse is too small then fuse probably popped...also you have to check the fuse box (alt wire goes to fuse box then to battery and i'm sure its rated at half of what the new alt is)

Said it was idling around 14 when he shipped it out.

I was under the impression that a good alt idles at 14.4 and a perfect one idles at its set voltage point, which is 14.89.

I paid 295.00 for a good alt and he sent me one that was at 14v and then was toast by the time it got to me
