Boston Subs

Ok so here's the scoop. I have a single cab truck...not alot of space available. I HAD an Infinity Perfect 10.1 sub with an alpine MRP-450 monoblock. I liked it but it wasn't enough for me. Now instead of just buying another 10.1 and wiring two up I decided to sell the setup, now I regret that. I'm wanting to go with something that is going to sound full and enriching with a good amount of thump. Ideal price is 900-1000 for 2 10" Subs and an Amplifier for those subs. I've been looking at the Boston Acoustics G2 Line with something like an Alpine MRP-650 amp but nobody around me has Boston Subs. I've heard nothing but good things and i was hoping that someone in here could give me a little bit of input. I mostly listen to rock music with a little rap here and there, nothing too spectacular. Any suggestions? i'm completely open.

I just finished a system for a guy using two Boston G2 twelve's and a set of Boston SL components. The twelve's are in a ported box, around 5CuFt if I recall correctly, tuned to 32Hz. The guy listens mostly to heavy rock. He loves it, good punch for his rock and gets low when he throws in a little rap. Oh, and it is very loud and clear. He is supposed to come by tomorrow so I can spend some time listening to it and do a little tweaking.

Boston is good stuff. I don't think you would be disappointed at all with them at all.

I had a pair of boston acoustic pro 10 subs hooked up to an alpine mrv 1000 watt amp, best sounding bass Ive ever heard. This was 10-12 yrs ago though. Can you fit 2 10''subs in a single cab truck? I have a crew cab and fit 2 jl 10w1v2 behind the back seat, but just barely. The mounting depth is 4.4 in. I wanted some w3's but couldnt fit them. Make shure you know what your mounting depth and cf space is before you buy subs. My jl's pound me out of the truck with just a small 300 watt kenwood amp.

custom box...it's possible. i've figured out all the dimensions now i just have to get the subs and build it. i was also thinking about the JL 10w3v2 but once again..nowhere around here has any. it's starting to make me mad.
