Boston Pro 6.53 / x-over

I have an older 3-way 6.53 Boston Pro set. With my new vehicle I can't fit the 4"mids. If I drop the mids should I:

A) Purchase the Boston Pro passive X-over for their 6.5 2-way set

OR

B) Get an active X-over... If so any recomendations?? Thanks+ J.MPLS

Use an active crossover on a 4 channel amp...just make sure you know where the tweeter XO point is or you can screw it up.
