Boston Acoustics-SPG555 VS ID Max

ok so if i use my 4 channel Arc amp to run my Polk SR active that way i have more option to tunes but if i do that then i need another amp for the rear or i just run them through my head unit, if i know this before i will get 6 channel amp, maybe add a Arc Mini 125.2

You can run the rears off the HU, and do yourself a favor and turn them off while the SRs are being tuned.

Biamp the SRs; their crossovers are setup for it. Then, use the gain pots to turn down the tweeters. After you listen for a while and find the right balance, you can begin to EQ.

i am soooo sad today cause my friend just got his system hook up, he spend $2200 which is half the money i paid for and its sound 5 times better than my system , he got 3 12 Memphis subs and amps, i have been in car audio for long and i have been tried all different brand and spend a lot of money but have not find the sound that i want until now, my system sound good but not the sound that i want, me and my friend was sitting in the car and play all different songs and i wonder who the f**k in the world can make a system sound that good? Memphis the brand that i never thought about it, i will sell my IDQ and go with Memphis.

sounds more like an enclosure problem.

Hey kevin lu,

dont what you have just get something that might not work in your car.

Memphis amps are really nice,

there subs are ok, I mean if you're looking spl then go ahead, but if you're looking for SQ or SQL then maybe look at your box, yes putting a sub in the right encloser will make a difference sound.

The IDQ isnt meant for hard SPL bass.

But if you where to buy another sub look @ the IDMAX or FI, which I think has more SQL & better cone control over memphis subs.plus yes they get loud as well.

Memphis subs have a very tight suspension-voice coil, but when breaks in the bass will start sound sloppy.
