Boss in a geo prizm...need help

i have a boss system in my car, no amp. front are 4" at 225 peak and backs are 6.5" 250, both sets are Boss chaos (2-way) peak the Hu is a Boss 636CA which puts out RMS: 17 watts x 4 channels and as it is now-- sounds like garbage. my question is do i need a AMP and if i do what kind! thanks

i had a 93 prizm, those cars are so easy to get loud in, throw all the boss junk away, buy some quality stuff from the classifieds here, pay no more than 500 to 700 total and put it in there, itll be wonderful.

If you start with garbage, even a million dollar amp will still put out the same garbage that goes into it.

Get a new to you head unit, plenty to chose from in the classifieds.

You need new equipment sir. Doesn't take much to get a good sounding system on here when you buy used.
