Bose theatre

OK so yesterday I walked into the bose store at the local mall. And was invited into this small theatre they had and which played some demonstration. I know that bose has a bad rep among audiophiles for being overpriced and not good sounding. However it actually sounded decent. It didnt have the lows I wanted, because their demo didnt have much bass if any but it sounds good imho.

The AdaptiQ thing looks impressive too because of it being able to automatically adjust to the room environment, reminds me of that alpine imprint module which can EQ to reflect your cars acoustics.

Am I succumbing to bose marketing? Or do they actually have decent speaker set out there??

No, they don't have a decent speaker set. Those rooms are treated to sound good and the music is specially chosen so as not to emphasize the systems lack of response above 15khz, and between about 150hz and 300hz.

Yeah, steer clear of all things Bose.
