Well, when installed my Polk Comps, i totally ripped out all my stock Bose shit, including the amplifiers that come attatched to the speakers in the door. Well today i went to just throw in some OEM speakers (i sold my comps) and i hooked them up to the stock HU. They were extremely and i mean extremly quiet. There was like 4 wires coming out of the wiring harness to the door. I had to just guess which ones to use. I then threw in my X990 to power them and they were alot louder, but still sounded like ***. My question to you guys is, since the bose speakers had amplifiers on them, does the Stock CD player even have an amplifier? My guess is that it does, but it must be tiny. I will probably just have to buy a cheap HU to put in my car to sell, because i don't want to sell it with the 990 but i have to put something in there.
