So I have Bose systems in my house and both my trucks, and discovered what i want now from those guys!

http://www.bose.com/controller?event=VIEW_STATIC_PAGE_EVENT&url=/learning/project_sound/bose_suspension.jsp&ck=0

this system is outstanding, the engineering and shear technology in it is incredible. they have some cool quicktime clips you can check out too.

anyway, just figured there might be some of you interested in more depth performance than some of the norm....

sorry if its older news guys... i just stumbled on it yesterday

nevertheless though it would be pretty deadly to invest in... after winning the 6-49...

The really neat thing is that they work like a speaker motor, they actually move up and down the same way a speaker does.

Quote-

Linear Electromagnetic Motor

"A linear electromagnetic motor is installed at each wheel of a Bose equipped vehicle. Inside the linear electromagnetic motor are magnets and coils of wire. When electrical power is applied to the coils, the motor retracts and extends, creating motion between the wheel and car body."

A speaker works via a linear electromagnetic motor.

You have Bose systems in your house and vehicles?
My condolences.
the suspension i saw probably a year or so ago. very odd. i wonder how it compares to conventional suspension on a track.

bose wanted 12k to do my system, wanted something simple that my mom could use. i ended up going with denon stuff with niles audio speakers and a velodyne sub, and two LCD tv's for about 8900.

I know there's some ppl out there who whine about them, but I dont have any complaints so far, and I put my system in my truck without any probs from the factory Bose stuff. As far as the house stuff goes, I have the Lifestyles 48 system, it;s worked flawless and is without doubt more impressive than I have experienced elsewhere... Then again, racing bikes has damaged my hearing..

What probs have you / do you have with Bose?
