BoogerMan's 12k Crossfire build in a 1998 Toyota T100 SR5

Roof is 90% done. A little more welding and grinding then it will be sprayed with Second Skin Spectrum. No flex zone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif haha

Got the battery relocated. Going to drop the truck back off at the shop today to get the roof finished up.

After the roof is done, everything else will be put on hold. I need to finish paying off all the wheels and tires, and then I'm buying a ring to propose to my girlfriend so money will be tight the next couple months. But stay tuned! It will be done one day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

A few more things got done the past couple weeks.

4 layers of second skin spectrum got sprayed on the inside of the roof. I'll probably do one or two more coats because we have so much left. Each door has about 8 layers sprayed. They are definitely solid enough. I used about 2.5 gallons to do all of this.

I spray foamed the front and rear cross brace. I used loc tite this time (blue can, white foam) and it is definitely denser than great stuff. It's a few dollars more and you get a little less but it seems worth it.

Third brake light was removed and welded shut. It got ground down today.

Battery rack is nice and solid for the 420 lbs worth of Reikkens.

The outside of the roof still needs some sanding and filler to even it out. We are afraid the filler or resin/mat might crack over time because of the vibration. We hope that it won't with all the steel and second skin sprectrum up there, but just to be safe we will be vinyl wrapping the roof instead of painting it.

I also got a bunch of red and white decals in the mail. Still need a few more specific ones, but these are the majority of them.

Oh no...Optima battery?!?!
Nice collection of stickers you got there. Just started putting mine on my garage door.
Lol the optima will get sold as soon as the Reikkens are installed.

A couple more little updates

Part of the door mock template. I think I'll do tweeter first then the two 6.5s like in the design above. We just wanted to see what it would look like with the tweet in the middle. The problem with this placement is the second 6.5 would be completely suffocated by the seat.

New black nerf bars installed. 30% off so I had to pick them up. Direct bolt on was nice!

Alt bracket is next on the list.

My buddy who is building the box got moved into his new house a couple weeks ago. I was over there this past weekend helping him wire up a subpanel and 16 outlets in his garage. The box should be starting up again soon //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Things are starting up again. The box and door panels are currently being worked on. The guy who was going to do my alt bracket bailed on me so I'm trying to find someone else to make one.

The two large holes in the door are for access to the bolts that will hold the panel in place. The holes and bolts will be covered with a pressed panel

We connected the wood door panel to the top portion of the oem panel using fiberglass reinforced body filler. It's a solid single piece door panel now

We decided to go with 1 6.5 and 1 tweet on each door since the mounting depth of these speakers is crazy deep and I don't have very much room between the door and my seats. It's getting tricky that's for sure! The center console will have 1 6.5 on each side and then the other 4 6.5s and 2 tweets will go in the rear somewhere I'm thinking.

We started fiberglassing the top corner portion of the door where the tweet will go. So much work going into these doors since we only had the top half of the oem panel to work with.

Bracing for the ported side of the box is coming together better than I ever could have imagined. 5" diameter hexagon pillars. My buddy put a lot of work into these. They are crazy solid and look pretty sweet in my opinion

Got a little more done. It's finally cooling down to low 100s so we can actually work more than 2 hours a weekend lol. Once October hits and we are in the 80s and 90s, things will really get going.

Triple alt bracket is almost done. Will get pics next week. Roof should be getting painted this week or next. New brakes also being installed this week.

I also sold my Reikkens g31 AGM batteries. I wanted to drop some weight to be a little easier on the truck. So I'll be going with either JY Power or Limitless Lithium 80ah battery. I'm leaning towards Limitless only because I can get it for 20% off but we will see.

Got a new satin black rear bumper.

Timbren SES Springs will be installed in the rear sometime in the next few weeks. I decide to go with Timbren because of the lifetime warranty, no maintenance or adjustment required, and they support thousands of pounds.

New tail lights installed. They will be blacked out after it cools down more.

Don't worry, the front chrome bumper will be painted satin black to match the rear bumper, side steps, and rims.

Re-tinted my front parking lights and blinkers.

We had to change things up a bit to avoid clearance issues. Originally we were going to do 2 6.5s and 1 super tweet on each door, and 2 6.5s and 1 super tweet on each side of the center console. Instead we are doing 1 6.5 on each door and 1 super tweet in each A pillar. Then 1 6.5 on each side of the center console. The remaining 4 6.5s and 2 super tweets will go in the rear

Started fiberglassing the A pillars

I do 2 layers of resin first to harden the material. This helps prevent sagging when applying mat and resin.

Box is getting worked on again! We got a ton done this past weekend. We will be doing final touches in order to prepare for paint hopefully by the end of the month. Inside of box will be white. Bracing pillars will be black. Beauty panels for outside of the box will be wrapped in black vinyl.

Glued and screwed the two top layers together. The top of the box will be removable in order to easily access the subs if needed.

Got the bracing all lined up and in place. Used 3 GRK screws per pillar to secure them to the bottom of the box. They will also be glued in place once the box is painted.

The box has been dubbed the Roman Empire because of the bracing lol.

Front of the box is done. Once we get the box loaded up in the truck, we will make the port and determine how to attach it since it will be removable.

Woah...MDF pillars. There's something I haven't seen before. I would try and paint those, something that catches the eye when peering thru the little window you got going. Lookin' real nice and solid.
