what if Griffey was hurt so much the last few years, hes approaching 600, he coulda been where Bonds' is at IMO if he stayed healthy, and it doesnt look like he used "the juice"

actually i just read an article about this the other day in the newspaper. it was saying that the record home run ball that was hit a few years back, is worht hardly anythnig now, compared to what the owner paid for it. and the record ballfor bonds breaking the all time record is reportedly worht only about 500 g's. although that is still alot

i wish griffey hadnt been hurt so much. i think he has an outside chance of breaking bonds record, if bonds retires after the year. and griffey doesnt get hurt anymore. but def a-rod is on pace

Yeah, over 23 years, during which he never hit more than 47 home runs. Baseball players have never been better than they are now (and not all of that can be attributed to steroids) and Bonds was still doing 40/40 before roids became all the rage.

I hate Barry Bonds, but don't think it's fair to put an asterisk beside his name for what he may or may not have used towards the end of his career. There is a long history of cheaters in baseball who don't have an asterisk (Gaylord Perry, anyone?). Again, totally shit character, but still a very talented ball player.

Griffey's injuries really are a shame (it's the swing we all wish we had). We'll see what A-Rod can do.

I couldn't agree with you more, but most people don't realize the hand-eye coordination it takes to even touch a major league pitcher's throw.
