Bondo & Matte??

maybe just take some 1\2" MDF and cut it to the appropriate size, drench it in resin, place it on the flat spot, then cover the back with a layer of fiberglass.

no more flexing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

got any pics of what you mean thou?

Yeah here are some pics of what im doing. It is just a base mold rite now.

This picture is when it was in the car. the lighter parts are the more flexible parts of the mold. the transmission hump is fine im not too worried about that.

This picture is after more glassing. Every curve that you see is stiff like a mutha but the flat areas are still flexing.

I was really bored and has like a whole can of bondo and no more resin so i thought(and read) that bondo makes it stronger. So i slapped it on and made a lot of high spots with the bondo on the flat areas. I know that glass is stronger in curves so i thought bondo would make it stronger while creating curves when i get more resin to put on. Sorry for the mess.

bondo shouldnt be relied on for structural integrity, unless its kitty hair of courst. i noticed you are using fiberglass cloth. though its a good choice and much easier to use, it is not nearly as strong as fiberglass matte. when using cloth as an alternative to matte, i like to use about 50% more cloth than i would use otherwise with matte. try adding a few more layers of cloth. then test the strength. if you feel that your amount of layers is already sufficient, then, like previously stated, reinforce the flat parts with 1/2 in. MDF. hope this helps.
