Body Kits.. advice needed

wow, kitted camry....surprisingly this isn't a first. i had a friend in high school who kitted his camry, he got shit from everyone all day long lol
It takes all kinds. I have kids so I needed the 4 doors and of the 3 major, reliable cars, I liked the camry best. The accord and altima are too loud and even their v6 is a bit lacking in power. The camry just fit the bill for everything I wanted out of what I could afford.

But you see my point, even a "kitted" camry is going to be a step up from just a stock camry.

To someone a few replies back, I'm not going to lower it. Ever. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/suave.gif.858fc102f7646e678ee8af7e1fbc41d1.gif

Try finding a dictionary and looking up "aesthetic". And no, like anything else I own.. I own it for *me*. I'm sure you wouldn't drive a primer gray pinto, even if it ran great. But hey, your holier than thou, judgemental attitude totally rocks. How's it working out for you in the real world?
I like your complete lack of any worthwhile contribution to the thread though. I guess if you don't know what you're talking about, random and unsolicited insults are the perfect substitute.

it's working out pretty well, thanks

so you joined a car audio forum, and asked about a body kit? dont you think you may be in the wrong section of the intraweb

Yeah no problem, it's easy to make off-hand comments without realizing how they may be taken by other people.

As for aesthetic, I'm not about to get into a word war, but beauty is definitely subjective. Just look at the full range of cars out there there get bought and sold, or look at all the different tastes in men/women people have. I happen to prefer a rounded off boxier look to the super rounded bulbous or even super sleek sports car look. That's just my own preference.

As for joining the car audio forum, I joined at the behest of another member in order to start asking advice on what components and amps I should be looking at. Unfortunately I had some weird dupe error when I tried to post a topic about that and so, upon seeing this section of the forum, wound up posting this topic first.

i dont think what hes doing to it is anywhere near laughable. it IS aesthetic. of course thats an opinion.

all hes saying is that he doesnt want it to look like his moms car or something like that, just set it apart from the stocks.

i think tiny changes are the best thing u can do to a car, changes that still look like they could be stock. one of those mesh grilles you're talking about might be too much and not look stock, but its your car. i like where you're headed

its laughable... that car cant go anywhere near fast enough to deem it useful...
thus... rice also...

i wouldnt be caught dead in it, but to each their own

So anytime you do anything to modify a car, if the car can't already go 190mph it's "riced"? Interesting.

Thats what mad mike tolded me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
Hahah. I like that show only because xzhibit seems so sincere. Yeah it's mostly crap, from a phile's PoV, that goes in there.. and it's mostly a way of advertising for their corporate sponsors.. and yeah it's probably a nice fat tax write-off.

But the kids they do it for get so darned happy and excited and that's just cool.
