any push-up primarily works out your chest and tri, not biceps.noobish question, but what muscle groups are used in diamond/triangle pushups (hands put close together)
just curious, ive been doing alot of them and up to about 100 a day and noticeing improvemnts in the muscles under the bicep + chest ... these the only muscle groups?
also ive been doing curls of 35-40 lbs ... ill do 20 triangle pushups, 10 curls with each arm, back to pushups, back to curls... and i will repeat the process until i cant move and my muscles feel tight and constricted (i dont know if this is the right way to describe it, not painfull , just you know... you can tell they got a good workout)
would this be acceptable to work my upper body?
edit:
also i will sit on my butt at the edge of my bed with legs facing away and with my arms behind me grab the edge of my bed and lift myself up (haha i actually saw it on a episode of lockup, prison show) is this any good, or just useless effort? it feels like it gives a good workout, but i know some are better than others
i already stated b4 that im prolly way off with the weights cause i **** at guessing peoples weight. I just know it wasnt right for someone so small to gain so much muscle that quickly.lol. i am 175 and am puttin 250. just started sizeON so after that hopfully 275ish.
that not really alot of weight. school record in my high school is 450 pounds![]()
That was a couple of years ago. At that time, I was benching 240 at a weight of about 135-140.**** dude, you have like 0 chest. what did u say you benched again?
Don't let that fool you. My workout partner has a chest that looks about like that and he is up to 90s per had on dumbbell bench for 6 reps on his last set on his good days, and 80s on weak days (read: too much to drink the past weekend). We don't do much flat bench but he's done ~225 for several reps before.**** dude, you have like 0 chest. what did u say you benched again?
i mean i understand what you mean by hard-gainer, but ive never seen anything like that. thats ridiculous. That was a couple of years ago. At that time, I was benching 240 at a weight of about 135-140.
Even now, I still have a small chest when flexed. The muscles completely contract to where it looks very flat. I am pushing ~285 now, but even when I was over 300 for a year or so, it was not much thicker at all.
I am a true hard-gainer. I move a lot of weight for my size, but my size rarely changes.
I just last week moved back to the 90s for incline DBs. I had avoided DBs for a few months but got back into them 2 weeks ago for my incline work. 90s are fun. 4 sets of 5. The hard part is getting them into position whehn inclining.Don't let that fool you.
