bmw 325i install help!!!!

we had our own sound off in one of the bars in our place just last night. nothing fancy really. around eight cars joined including mine (a 1998 toyota corolla). more of a car show though coz everyone was scrutinizing each of the cars installation/set up. all cars were linked and played from one source.

this particular guy who also had his montero sport joined the sound off struck this very interesting conversation with me. he was talking about his bmw 325i (forgot to ask the model) that he really really would want to have its own install but installers and dealers are shying away from it coz they are all afraid that if they mess up with the wirings of the said car, it will ruin or damage the in-car computer.

is that true? if it is, how do they get to install car audio enhancements gear with this car? surely ive seen bmws 325is even 330is with monster installs in magazines. how do they do it? i dunno but he told me that he cant even find the battery in his car. i was asking him if he could tap through the positive terminal of his battery and from this, set up a whole new set of car audio gears in his trunk but like what ive said, he cant see any battery in the hood. how could this possibly be?

hes desperate and i want to know how to help him out. is there a way around this car?

I'm working on my 325ci right now, haven't actually messed with the wires, but will be in couple days.

I doubt it's that much of a risk.

I did hear however that you don't want to replace the stock wires because it will let in distortion.

I'd recommend going over to e46fanatics.com and check their forum out.

Also the battery is in the trunk on the right side under that plastic cover.

This will make life easier for you!
