blowthrough box tuning question

I think he means if most people are going to cut a massive hole in the body of their vehicle, they will load it up with some serious equipment.

Personally I would tune a little higher for daily if you want to do the higher bass notes too, probably 36-37hz. It wont really drop the tuning, but if the box is wayyy back there, it will definately play low because if the box is way deep in the bed, the low notes will have a good ways to develop a full wave on the lower notes as well.

so 2 btl's and 4500 watts isn't serious?? lol

I think it is. I only went with 2-12s because I didn't want to use up all the bed space. You'll still be loud bro. And I'll do a new design for you soon...I'm kind of busy for the next few hours for my sister's bday.

The distance in space that there is doesn't do much of an audible differnce. Also I would personaly go with more power.

I had 6k on my 2 12" BTL's in a blow-through.

no prob bro jsut shoot me a pm if u ever get the chance

Trey, usually if people do a blowthrough, they usually do more then 2 12s.
i would seriously love to do like 6 12's but i think 2 btl's will be plenty. i mean i'm still in school and money is not the easiest thing to come by. lol yal makin it seem like it aint gonna be loud or somethin gah. lol

i kno this sounds stupid, but Fi's web site says to tune BTL's to 32hz. well someone said that if i do a blowthrough and the ports are far enough away from the cab wall then it would tune it lower or somethin like that...anyone have any idea bout this?? my subs will be angled and the ports in the middle
To a point...kinda.

But in reality, if the subs/port are back away from the cabin in a cut-thru and have a area between them, it will act like a 6th order bandpass to an extent.

whats the diff in bandpass vs ported as far as tunning

say a ported box at 33hz to play what that ported box plays at what would the bandpass 4th order be tuned to

then say a 4th order tuned to 45hz whats that compared to a box ported will play??

Thanks

hey, did you ever get a response from 80 or make up a design for me, also when could you do the cutout, are you busy everyday or what?

pm me if you want

Thanks
