blowthrough box tuning question

i kno this sounds stupid, but Fi's web site says to tune BTL's to 32hz. well someone said that if i do a blowthrough and the ports are far enough away from the cab wall then it would tune it lower or somethin like that...anyone have any idea bout this?? my subs will be angled and the ports in the middle

I remember reading something like that too. How far away is your port going to be from your cut? The box I'm building right now has the port 5'' away from the opening but I don't expect much of a drop in tuning. blowthru with 2 12s? Must be a single cab. Anyways. Ive heard that aswell..as to the specs of it. Id say if you cant get any solid info on it tune it slightly higher..as in if you want it 32 hz..tune it to 34..you wont notice the diff in the tuning anyways.
