i have a set of ultra linear 6.5 comps. rated 175rms.

they are hooked up to a lanzar 530 amp 75+4 +100+1

and a set of 4+6 rated at 60rms

i've seemed to have blown my tweeters on the copms

and have no prob w/ the 4+6s how is this possible.

they are both hooked up the same way..

and do other speakers have a break intime like subs??

like these tweeters..

maybe its the filter. maybe u were pushing to many watts to the comp set. i dont think that speakers need as much break in as subs do

I know this is a dumb question, but is it possible u hooked up the speakers to the cross over backwards. like u hooked the drivers to the high pass freq, and tweets to the low pass?

Speakers don't move in and out as much as subs, so they don't really need break in time. Plus speakers aren't meant to be run as hard. You were just simply running too much power.
